I thought I'd share some of our ornaments! Most are vintage (surprise, surprise). I thought I'd divide them into small collections. The ones above were thrifted just yesterday... "Half-price-holiday-items-day". Yes. Those flocked birds... I couldn't believe my luck! Santa is pretty charming with his yarn beard.
Here's a small collection of angels. The blue-haired girl is a fav and of course the girls with the hot pink flocked robes...
And this silly pom-pom bunch! I love them. They are wonky and some are on their last leg, but so cute.
This little wall hanging was a half-price-day find, too. He's pretty darn cute.
I've spent the past few days painting a large china cabinet that sits in our kitchen. REMIND ME NOT TO PAINT LARGE PIECES OF FURNITURE AGAIN. One coat of primer and 4 coats of pale mint paint later, I'm over it! But it looks great. The holiday decorating is almost done. Now I'm ready to settle in, have some "boozy-cho-cho" as my dear husband calls it (um, that would be spiked hot chocolate) and watch Christmas in Connecticut. This month is flying by. I wish it would slow down!

If you do plan on painting more furniture in the future I highly recommend investing in a paint gun. My hubby got me one this summer (ON SALE) and it's amazing. I still like the brush the main color but it makes quick work of the primer!
Love the POM POM Ornaments!!!! Especially the reindeer!
I wish my hubby would give up on the idea of a tree this year. I'm still so sick that just keeping up on the laundry is more than I can manage most days. Sadly there is not a whole lot of holiday spirit in me this year except to enjoy what others are doing and making.
