Oh Goodness. Let me tell you - this little gal is somethin' sweet. Her Dad, our dear friend from college (and one of Ethan's childhood friends), moved to Atlanta a few weeks ago and I can't tell you how excited we are to have them as neighbors. They are like family! I'm looking forward to getting to know is wife, Ellyn, more and their son, Martin, is almost exactly Campbell's age. And this is his little sister Lenore!
What a doll right? We offered to babysit so that Mom & Dad could do some unpacking. Can I tell you how much fun it was? Lenore is 7 months and she's such a treat to hang out with. She was my little friend for a few hours while Ethan took the 3 boys out for ice cream and the monthly Cruise-In in our little town.
Ellyn asked me if I could take some pics of the kids and I had to laugh to myself because I was already scheming up ways I could photograph them during babysitting duties. Especially Lenore! Ok, ok, it's obvious I have a lack of little girl muses around here. I'm surrounded by all these little boys. So I was like, uh, YES! And then she emailed and told me I could dress her up any way I like.. this totally unsolicited. My goodness, she knows how to make a girl happy. I won't admit to looking at vintage baby girl clothes on Etsy today.
Ahem.
Yeh, Lenore looks a bit worried...
So you might see this little lady and her brother on the blog from time to time.
I will say that while I looooved hanging out with her, I soon remembered that WOW... babies are hard work! But I enjoyed every minute of it and I'm already itching to do some more babysitting. Babies are hard to resist. The thing that makes them perfect though?
When you can hand them back to Mommy and Daddy at the end of the night. ; )
I don't miss those sleepless nights for sure. I tip my hat to all of you parents out there with the really-little-Littles. It's the hardest work ever. But baby-snuggles make it worth it right?
Yeh, I think so, too.
Speaking of my boys, they started school today! Parents, are your kiddos back in school? I think we were ALL ready. What about you?

Ohmygosh, what a cutie pie!! There are 4 babies under 1 in my extended family, right now. I am sososo thankful to get my baby fix every weekend.
School starts in 2 weeks! It's my youngest boy's first year! I'm so nervous.

Oh my gosh, I just happened upon your blog (inspiring), and who do I see but sweet Lenore. Caught my attention because my name is Lenore (after the poem the Raven by Poe). I rarely see my name anywhere :)

Aah, how sweet :)
When I saw the name Lenore I thought it was about one of my favorite comics; Lenore the cute little dead girl. But this cute little girl is as much alive as possible!
