Here are those photos I promised! Can you see how I was in Vintage Heaven? Swoon!
This is Flashback in Memphis, TN.. if you are ever in the area!
This is what I bought... (the two little elves sitting on cushions : )
... and this amazeballs wall hanging. In incredible condition. The time and love someone put into this - Love!
This is what was for sale... (it was hard to leave A LOT of it! I wanted to take everything home!)
These handmade vintage stockings are kind of to die for. I really wanted to take ALL of these home. It's so rare that you find handmade vintage holiday items and in such great condition as these...
I really love these old ceramic trees with the lights. She had an incredible collection of these. This would be a fun holiday item to collect.
I love that Elvis seems to follow you all over Memphis... no matter where you are. ; )
I love those tinsel/aluminum pompom flowers. I bought my first vintage aluminum tree off ebay a couple weeks ago.. can't wait to display it.
The owner has many things displayed around the shop that are part of her own collection - I love that! Although it does make your heart drop when you see how incredible all of the items are and you can't take them home. ::tear:: But I LOVE that she is kind enough to share these incredible collections with everyone. These are sitting behind the checkout area... see what I mean?
And here are the *fantastic* window displays outside the store. Like seriously, to.die.for. I would like to go back next year and get some photos with everything lit up at night. It was hard photographing everything with the window glare, but hopefully you get the idea. Maybe I'll get brave and ask her if I can walk inside the windows to get close-ups of everything (haha.. those that know me, know that I would indeed stoop to that level of embarrassment for myself! Knowing full well that she would probably answer that question with a resounding "NO!")
I have lots more photos to share from this store, non-Christmas-y, but still full of vintage eye candy.

I'm really speechless after that, wow. Now I know where my husband can spread my ashes after I'm gone.
It's really exciting to see there is a TON of stuff I haven't collected yet, so let the hunt continue.

My Dad has two of those trees boxed up in his basement. I have wanting to get my hands on them for some time now. And the best part is the memories. My Mom had made them and I remember them being out as part of her decorations. Thanks for the great post!

Nice to see Flashback again. I lived in Memphis for 8 years...it was near my apartment, been there MANY times. Does the girl with the pageboy haircut still run it? ; )
I think I've maxed out on vintage Christmas...I have many of the things in your photos! : (

Holy smokes. I love vintage Christmas stuff! I've made all of our stockings by hand using old sequin/felt patterns and they're really fun and beautiful. I even personalized them. I love those elves in cushions too. I bought a 4 foot aluminum tree a few years back and I bring it out every year. In fact, it was featured in our Christmas card this year! Check it out, with some of my old toys: http://www.behance.net/gallery/Christmas-Morning/2536791
Cute, huh?
I love your posts, keep feeding us Christmas eye candy! :)
