I've been a bit MIA this week. I blame it on laundry! Again. I feel like that's all I talk about lately. How do people with more than four people in their family do it? I have no idea. I can barely keep my head above water when it comes to laundry. ::sigh::
So, I spent most of yesterday, folding laundry, but I watched The Wonder Years via Instant Netflix and that made it SO much better. Yay. I knew that show was good, but I forgot just how good. And how much it makes me laugh. Especially Wayne.
I'm going to try and make things up to you today by giving you a photo-eye-candy-heavy-post. Sound good?
First, I have a free Halloween printable on Design Sponge this week! It's a fun project you can do to make your home extra festive and fun. I think this would be a fun one for the kiddos to help. I'm still in the process of attaching these masks on portraits around our home. It's too much fun.
See the full DIY and download the FREE printable here over on Design Sponge.
I got a new doll this week! I love her! Isn't her hair gorgeous? Can't wait to play with her.
Also on my radar this week:
Some recent thrifting. I'm behind on taking photos of all my thrifted goods lately. I usually go around once a week, it's usually my weekend for-fun activity.
Did you see that it's Mary Blair's 100th birthday today? If you're a Disney fan, you probably know who she is. Love this illustration Google created to celebrate. (Thanks to Lauren for letting me know!) I did a little post on her a while back.
Found this gem of a portrait while perusing Flickr this morning. Isn't she gorgeous? I wish I knew the artist. Would love to track her down.
Something else I found while perusing Flickr (take that Pinterest! ha. I still need to get on that bandwagon. Although I do have one set up already!) Love the colors and patterns in this photo. Especially LOVE the variation on the "God's Eye" piece above the bed. Love the four "branches" coming out from the center. So pretty!
Yet another find on Flickr! I found out this this AMAZING puppet theater used to be at our very own Six Flags over Georgia. AH!! Of course it's gone now. (tears!) It very much reminds me of It's a Small World at Disneyland. It's sad to know what Six Flags has become now. I abhor that place! Ugh. (Or maybe I'm just sore because I can't ride roller coasters. Because I get motion sick. ; )
Want to get this book for me the boys. : ) I love Alexander Girard.
I visited our semi-new Jonathan Adler store in Atlanta a few weeks ago and snapped some Droid pics. I felt bad about the drool I left behind. I couldn't afford anything but some plastic kitchen utensils (that I didn't buy by the way) but it was still fun to look! And oh so inspiring.
And last, Holly over at Decor8 featured some photos of my home in her "Authentic Interiors" post this week. I was very honored to be a part of that post, and some talented friends of mine were featured as well! The post really hit home with me. I love what Holly wrote.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Any fall traditions taking place? Decorating for Halloween? Making costumes? Picking out a pumpkin?
