I found this tiny little book (about 4.5" square) at a new thrift store I stumbled onto a couple weekends ago called Second Life in Decatur. It's such a fantastic concept: you buy things from their store and they in turn donate money to animal rescue programs and charities. Very cool. This little book was 50 cents. I loved the sweet little illustrations and of course, those sherbet-y colors. The hand-drawn type is pretty fabulous, too!
I couldn't find a copyright date, but it must have been published in the late 60's/early 70's as evidenced by Jeanne Pearson's signature inside who gifted this little book at the "Old Board Party" in 1970. : )

Wonderful find, Danielle :) So lovely a sentiment and illustrations make it perfect in every way. The sketchy-style drawings remind me in some ways of the (original) pink panther cartoons... Neat!
