I'm so excited to share my Home Tour on Cafe Mom's The Stir (in the Home & Garden section). I was pretty thrilled to receive an e-mail from Sheri Reed several weeks ago asking if she could feature my home. That is, thrilled at first then freaking out because several of our rooms were still "under construction" in the decorating realm. Especially the boys' shared bedroom - which is an important room on a Home Tour featured on a Mom-related site!
But as always, these pressure-cooker situations are the perfect opportunity to get things done that have been put on the back burner for so long. I'd been wanting to decorate the boys' room (which had bare walls and no proper bedding for months!) so this gave me the perfect excuse to get really motivated to finish it. I spent a lot of last week finishing it up and I'm so happy with how it came out. (I hope the boys are, too!)
Below are a few sneak peeks, but be sure to see the whole thing here over at The Stir. I will share more (and larger!) photos here on my blog later this week. It's such a nice feeling to finally have so many rooms in our home completed. We even had our Master Bath (that has been pretty much unusable for a year or 2 now) redone (we paid a contractor to do it as it pretty much was a rip-it-out-and-start-over kind of project). Photos to come of that. The only room that needs a small makeover is the Playroom. Hopefully we can do that before the end of the year. (oh, and the kitchen is one giant eye-sore. That is another rip-her-out-and-start-over project that will have to wait til next year so we can save our pennies.)
This house has really been in transition for the past year and it's really starting to fully reflect my style (luckily Ethan is pretty go-with-the-flow, haha ; ) More than anything, the house feels light, sunny, cozy and fun and I think everyone living in this house is pretty happy about it (especially about no bare walls!)
(edited to add: see full Home Tour photos here on my blog!)
