First, let me say that I'm super-under-the-weather today and it took every ounce of motivation I have to get this post together. But I couldn't miss this and I didn't want to mess up the flow of this particular Blog-mashup!
I was on Twitter when this Blog-it-Forward/Blog-Mashup idea was spawned by Sfgirlbybay's Victoria and Creature Comforts' Ez. There was talk about the recent trend of blog competitions and how could we all steer the focus from competing with each other, and rather sharing and inspiring one another. I thought it was a wonderful idea. Not that I don't love a good 'ole competition of sorts, but I think I'll save that for Wii Games and Guitar Hero. ;-)
I like to think of blogging as something positive that we can all use to inspire one another, and not bring each other down, or see each other as "competition". Let's face it: life is hard enough. Why make blogging un-fun and stressful too?
So these ladies put together this idea. All you had to do was email Victoria with a link to your blog and you could be part of it! So today is my day. Here's the complete schedule if you'd like to check it out!
First I want to link to the blogs before and after mine (kind of like a chain of blog-hopping-inspiration!). Be sure to check out Things We Make (her post from yesterday) and Tile Envy tomorrow.
The theme for this first Blog it Forward is simply, What Inspires You. Since I wasn't able to put together a really fleshed out post due to being sick, I thought I would put together a mosaic of images from my Flickr Favs over the past several months. Flickr favs are always a great sampling of what I'm into at the moment.
1. ABC's, 2. Vintage Tri-Illustration Card1, 3. new bed for a little girl, 4. Untitled, 5. whateva, 6. D'Oyley Motif, 7. No. 7 in the Tips for a Happy Life Series, 8. familydrawing, 9. Workspace, 10. 83/365, 11. 6/365 ADAD, 12. Untitled, 13. MSR, 14. Orange door, 15. Treasures!, 16. ** Cinema Stars Collection **, 17. cowboy and indian playing nintendo, 18. Untitled, 19. [hair-architecture], 20. rose-6863, 21. living room , 22. Guest Bath 1st Floor, 23. Cute clover Keychains!, 24. Pretty Girl, 25. pastel shoes, 26. Untitled, 27. Ben is the best artist in the world., 28. embroideries, 29. Who's The One? - Print, 30. mosh ( sold ), 31. Vintage Wallpaper, 32. new shop, 33. Little Origami Sheet 6, 34. Kelly Green, 35. wooden picture frame brooches, 36. woodmate petit kitchen
Be sure to click through all of the links so that you can see the images up close and to check out these inspiring flickr streams you don't want to miss!
If you are stopping by for the first time via Victoria's site, I just want to say "Hi!" and welcome! Please take a look around. I love having you here. :-)
Ok, off to the doctor I go. I actually went to a CVS Minute Clinic over a week ago and they refused to give me an antibiotic. Now it's gotten horribly worse. I'll spare you the details. This is the third time in the past year I've been refused an antibiotic for my chronic sinus infections. Uncool, dude, uncool. I don't care if the CDC told you "that antibiotics are overprescribed"... Grrr. I could give the CDC a little piece of my mind right now. And they're right here in Atlanta.. maybe I should take a little field trip over there. (insert evil, but congested, laugh here)
Those little vintage plastic flower images are part of my new digital kit, check it out! :-) I'd also be honored for you to check out my other shops, if you have time for some window shopping today.

Have an inspired day!

Great mosaic. Very inspiring!
Boo on doctors not giving you antibiotics. I also have cronic sinus infections and now that I get allergy shots I don't have near the amount of them. But when I do get them, my doctor is great and will even prescribe meds over the phone. Good luck getting some relief. Those things will suck the life out of you.
