Hope everyone had a nice weekend! :-)
I woke up this morning to a crappy email, that got me in a crappy mood so I wasn't sure how today was going to go, but it ended up being quite fun!
I did a photoshoot for my graphic design job (which I don't do that often, take photos that is)... it was for a Consignment Store. It was fun! The girl that I photographed really photographed well. She had such pretty eyes! We stumbled onto some really great backdrops in downtown Lilburn. We actually used the home of one of the antique store owners, who lives right down from her shop. It was really cute and rustic and she even had chickens on her property! How very odd to find chickens in the middle of a downtown area. Lol! So funny.
Then afterwards, I went to this woman's antique store and I almost passed out at all of the vintage goodness. How can I live within 10 minutes of this place and never know it existed? I have no idea. But her shop stole my heart. :-)
I am going to take some photos of her store and post them here in the next couple weeks. She is totally cool with me doing that, and i'm so happy I can share how awesome it is! It's beautifully styled as well.
First I'll share some of my scores today... this isn't everything, but most of it. I was needing some serious retail therapy after my grumpy morning!
The first little display I noticed that drew me in right away, was this area full of vintage horse show prize ribbons, vintage horse toys and more. I'm all about horse imagery and I've started collecting these ribbons over the past few months. After seeing some seriously sweet displays of these ribbons on various decor blogs, I knew I wanted to do that myself somehow in my home. Here's what I found today.
She also had a whole booth dedicated to vintage craft supplies... be still my heart!
My strawberry needlepoint purse... looooove....
This SUPER cute vintage switch plate.. I thought it was such a unique item. So sweet! And vintage linens in the background. I'm so into green and yellow lately...
There was an entire booth dedicated to vintage party supplies, vintage holiday items, vintage cupcake picks, I almost hyperventilated. I only walked away with this Christmas ornament. I forced myself to put some things back, but I know I will go back soon! I also purchased the vintage unfinished quilt top in the background...
And this was my last find of the day.. this adorable sewing basket. Perfect for my sewing supplies!
I love the illustration on the lid. It needs some cleaning and TLC, but i can't wait to add all of my spools of thread inside.
Speaking of thread, I had soooo much fun sewing up these fabric bows yesterday. They will of course be topping some Blythe headbands SOON! I'm so excited about these! They are nice and BIG, well big for Blythe that is. ;-)
I can't wait to make more of these! They're almost as addictive as the fabric buttons!
Here are some shots that I took this morning for the Consignment store... it's always fun photographing people, I miss doing more of that. I wish I had a muse that I could photograph all the time just for fun. :-)
And finally, I've been working more on my Woodgrain digital frame kit this weekend.. here are some new ones! Looking forward to finishing this one up and making it available soon. These will be available in personal and commercial licenses. I think these would be such a fun way to display blog images.. something different.

I think you have found your muse, my dear......she's adorable and those clothes??! OH MY. I'm coveting that green jacket. I could park myself on that swing w/the floral fabric for days. I'm so envious that such a wonderful store is so close by and you didn't even know it! There just aren't that many good ones here unfortunately.

Thanks for posting what is now my new favorite haircut. I've been growing mine out, but when I cut it (probably next year) I'm thinking I might have to copy her adorable short hairstyle!
